Hashimatul,
During this semester I really enjoy your class.
I like the way you teach and attract the student to keep active in your class.
I also like your energy every time you start and end your class. The way you
teach us makes me easy to understand your lecture without referring into your
notes. Between this 14 weeks, I enjoyed your last class which we learn about
the lipid. The technique that you used is very efficient to me and it makes me
understand better than other lectures before. It make me more focus because we
need to search and study our own topic and we need to understand it. So that we
can deliver it to the other group members. This activities makes me be more
independent and be responsible to the task that have been given. At the same
time, I can improve my communication skill in order to attract my classmate to
focus on what I want to deliver. I also like the Kahoot game, because we can
recall back what we have learn during that day lecture. Then, on the Problem
Solving Learning (PBL) session, to be honest I like this session more than in
Asasi UNIMAS. This is because we only spent 30 minutes for 15 marks while in
Asasi we need to spent 6 hours to get 10 marks. This PBL session is very fast
but full with information. I also feel thankful for having such a nice group
members that always support each other during the PBL sessions. I still
remembered, during the second class you already give us 3 tasks which too much
for me that time. One of your task is making a youtube video about solubility
NAOH compound and water. That is my first time making and editing a video which
is very useful for me. This is because for this first semester we need to make
videos for other subjects. So from this task it improve my IT skill and my
confident in making a good quality of videos. On the other hand, the lab
session also give a good memories to me because back to my Asasi time, there
will a lecturer that going to explain about the practical that we are going to
make. But in my degree life we need to prepared our selves before entering the
lab. We need to work with our group member independently without the lecturers’
help. And what I love the most is we need to use our brain to do the report in
order to prevent any plagiarism. Since the lab report format is still the same with
the Asasi’s so I still can catch up with it. Last but not least,I really like
the idea of making an e-portfolio as a final exam. This is because this kind of
work is more efficient compare to the final exam.this is because the student
will only study just for the final and not going to understand and remember it
for the whole life. But for the e-portfolio, the student always updates their
blog and they make it without rush so that they will understand it more clearly
than than the test. It also helpful for the student and the lecturer since it
only using the internet. Since the earth is getting old, so we need use less
paper in order to conserve the trees. Conclusion, I
really enjoy your teaching skill and I hope that we can meet again for the next
semester.

Dr Hashimatul,
Looking back on this class, it had opened my mind that
learning method does not restricted to only one way but can be done in various
ways. Dr Hashimatul had proved that learning can be done by doing freely
discussion and open session. It gaves me a friendly and closed environment thus
making me more eager to learn something new. This class is quite different from
other class as it is more to student-centered as the student need to find the
information themselves instead of relying to the notes given by the lecturer.
For me, it is great as it keeps the students awake for the whole class compared
to 3 hours lecture where the possibility for the students to stay focus during
the class is very low. One thing that I noticed during these 14 weeks of
studying biochemistry, I could stay focused and understand the subject better
compared to others. This had been proven when the lecturer do the Kahoot game
where I can recall back on what I learnt during the whole class. This games
make me become competitive to get the highest mark and it makes me enjoy the
subject although I am not very good with this subject at first place. As for
the Problem Based Learning (PBL) session, the time given for the session is
quite short as there is only 30 minutes to talk and there are around 8-10
members for mostly group .I think the time should be longer to allow each
member to have enough time to gives their opinion. However,the knowledge that I
gained from this session is immense and to simply summarize it, I would have
claimed that it gives me a new light of how biochemistry works. For the
assignment, I prefer e-portfolio compared to final examination as it does helps
students in many ways. For instance, it gives student more time to focus more
in it and improve their work time by time. This helps students a lot in
improving their result as they have plenty time to redo their work to get the
best result. Through this assignment, it gives the student more exposure to use
technology for studying such as making video, infographic and blog on their
own. Lastly, I believe that by learning biochemistry, it can helps us to
understand about our body process other than chemical reaction such as
respiration and nutrient that we get from each food class.

During
this semester,my favorite and most interested course is biochemistry. Not
because I like this course, but because I like the way the Dr teaches.
Different from other lectures, Dr tend to allow us to think for ourselves. This
keeps me from feeling bored in this class. Although it is a good idea to watch
the slide in class, but we do not have much time to think and choose to believe
the information we see is true. In addition, I also like the group discussion.
This is a platformthat is rarely performed in other classrooms. This part
allows .me to share knowledge with other members and debate our opinions with
other members. This undoubtedly increases our knowledge and enhances our
thinking ability. Third, I like this course because the teacher is a very nice
person. You will tell us very carefully. In addition, Dr’s good temper made me
feel no stress at all during class. Therefore, I am very grateful for the
contribution of the Dr and I am grateful as I can be your biochemistry
student.
